We are entering another great week of learning! We hope you all had a great weekend. This Friday, November 9th is Literary and Historical Figure Day!. The scholars are encouraged to dress as a literary or historical figure found with the ATE curriculum.
Spalding: Spalding homework will come home on Monday and should be completed every night using proper markings and with correct letter formation. There will be a test on Friday covering the 30 words students will learn this week. Make sure you continue reviewing phonograms 1-70 with your students at home.
Math: We will have the unit 4 assessment on Friday, November 9th. Scholars will come home with a review on Monday so they are able to review and study throughout the week. We will be completing the review in class on Thursday as well to help prepare scholars for the assessment. Please continue to have your scholars complete Xtramath five times a week.
Science: We are finishing our unit on landforms and will have a quiz on Tuesday, November 6th. We will then be beginning History with a unit on Ancient Greece. Please look for history homework and journal entries in the scholars’ BLUE journal.
Reading: A central theme of this second quarter will be studying Ancient Greece. We have begun reading the Iliad with the scholars and are enjoying the journey of reading this classic with them. Please continue to devote approximately 20 minutes to reading with your scholar for homework.
Have a wonderful week!
