Good Morning Parents,
We are looking forward to another great week here at ACTE. As a reminder, field trip money is due a week from today on Monday, April 22nd. Please make sure you send your student to school with their money and permission slips by that day. We look forward to exploring the Desert Botanical Gardens together on April 25th.
Spalding: This week students will be learning 10 new words on Monday and Tuesday. They must complete them in cursive! They will be tested on these 20 words on Thursday.
Math: This week students will start with a math test on time. On Tuesday we will begin a unit on charts and graphs. Xtramath is to be completed 4 days this week.
History: This week we will be finishing up our unit on Immigration to America and ending. We will then be starting are unit on Civil Rights on Wednesday and talking about many of the key figures who have helped this movement in America. This week we will be learning about Susan B. Anthony.
Reading: We will continue reading The Cricket in Times Square. On Thursday we will have a seminar on this book discussing the the importance of music and memory.
Poetry: Our current poem is “Foreign Lands.” by Robert Louis Stevenson. Please help your students practice at home.
